i’m shelly, but first let’s break the ice.
once upon a time, a friend attempted to spell my first and last name, shealee cavanaugh. when finished, they landed on shelly cavana. while the spelling was off, the name stuck, and there is far more to this story.
fashion has always been my favored solitude. i grew up in western massachusetts, in a small town shaped by tradition and bound by rigid stereotypes. while fashion surrounded me, i quickly understood that my eyes interpreted it as a passion beyond mere self-expression and became obsessed. in high school, i developed a great interest in graphic design and photography through four years of involvement in the yearbook. i always knew there was more for me out there, so at 18, i moved away to savannah, ga, to find what i was searching for.
currently, i am a junior pursuing a b.f.a. in fashion marketing and management with a minor in fashion journalism at the savannah college of art and design (SCAD). my work thrives in spaces where personal identity is not only accepted but amplified through design. i have acquired skills in adobe photoshop, adobe illustrator, adobe indesign, and microsoft excel, and have a knack for creating visually appealing layouts with unique storytelling. i’m inspired and devoted to presenting fashion as a creative outlet, as it has truly shaped my personality, and to become an original and polished professional in the editorial and marketing field.
all of my work can be found on here. it’s nice to meet you!
