this look gazes back to mid-to-late 20th-century workplace garments and environments that helped women assert their presence & contribution in reconsidering current-day american women’s fashion and identity through the lens of equality & reality.
materials and techniques are inspired by the exhibition’s quilt metaphor, attaching different durable fabrics to quilt together the identities of both women, past and present.
